Preserving the Past, Inspiring the Future.

The Natural and Cultural Heritage Conservation Initiative (NCHCI) is a Delhi-based NGO dedicated to preserving India’s irreplaceable natural landscapes and safeguarding its vibrant intangible cultural heritage. Rooted in the belief that heritage is the soul of a nation, we work tirelessly to revive vanishing traditions—from documenting folk music, folktales, and dances to restoring sacred groves, historical sites, and domestic architecture. Our efforts extend to preserving ancestral knowledge, including indigenous medical practices, traditional cuisines, and ecological wisdom, ensuring these treasures remain accessible for future generations. By digitizing endangered art forms and renewing damaged sacred spaces, we bridge the past and present, fostering a world where cultural identity and ecological sustainability coexist.

Through collaboration with local communities, global organizations, and passionate volunteers, NCHCI empowers grassroots conservation while amplifying awareness. We organize workshops, publish research, and establish village museums to educate and inspire action. Whether sponsoring underprivileged students in heritage studies or partnering with institutions to protect historical landmarks, every initiative strengthens the bond between people and their legacy. Join us in honoring the past, protecting the present, and inspiring the future—because heritage is not just history; it is humanity’s shared responsibility to cherish and preserve.
